Enrolments

Enrolment at South Yarra Primary School

South Yarra Primary School is a Victorian State Government Primary School located at 601 Punt Road, South Yarra.

South Yarra Primary School, due to space limitations, has a designated and approved Department of Education (DE) Neighbourhood Boundary zone which is extremely close to the school. No enrolments are accepted outside the zone.

By law, primary schools are required to request and record information on the immunisation status of students prior to enrolment. Parents or guardians must provide an Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) immunisation status certificate to the school regardless of whether the child is or is not immunised.

Documents produced by GPs or other immunisation providers are no longer acceptable as school entry immunisation status certificates. AIR immunisations are obtained through your Medicare online account accessed through myGov or call 1800 653 809.

Process for Enrolment:

If your child/ren is starting Prep in 2025, you will be able to enrol your child/ren at South Yarra Primary School from the start of Term 2, 2024 (Monday 15 April 2024).

All government primary schools will follow the timeline in 2024 to support Foundation (Prep) enrolments for the 2025 school year.

You can find information and resources about the timeline, including factsheet and a poster at Enrolling in Foundation (Prep).  You can also download the ‘Foundation (Prep) Enrolment Information Pack for Parents and Carers’, from Enrolling in Foundation (Prep) (available from 15 April 2024).

School tours are only offered to those within the school zone, tours will be held at 9:15 am on Tuesday 23 April 2024  and Tuesday 07 May 2024.

Enrolment applications for Prep 2024 should be submitted by Friday 26 July 2024.

Families will be notified of the outcome of their application by Friday 09 August 2024.
